With 50 years on the horizon and a family history of basil cell carcinoma, I finally decided to be proactive with my sun damaged aging skin. A yearly appointment with my dermatologist and a discussion of actinic keratosis sent me on my way to Bella Tu.Dorene, a friend and part owner of Bella Tu, introduced me to the world of skin preservation a few years prior. I hadn't felt the need for "cosmetic" procedures until recently. I was beginning to look worn and tired. My skin was very dull and wrinkles were coming at an alarming rate.
Dorene set me up with fabulous partner, Jean. Jean took one look at me and recommended I have a series of three treatments which consisted of Levulan and IPL. I consulted my dermatologist about this procedure. She thought it was wonderful that I was seeing Jean and highly recommended the Levulan and IPL treatment for my face, hands and forearms.
After my first appointment with Jean, I knew I was in great hands. Jean is very passionate about her work; she understood and identified with needs at my age.
I was amazed by the changes in my skin. I was so excited I had Dorene take photo's of my progress. I wanted her and Jean to share my results with others. My face was so freckled! The treatment targeted all the bad cells. After two weeks my skin was already glowing! The second treatment revealed more skin damaged around my mouth and chin. Two weeks later I saw my upper lip line becoming more prominent. My lips had not looked this good in 20 years. I was so thrilled with my results; at my last appointment I decided to have Jean place Botox in my frown line.
With no frown line and very smooth skin, I feel like a new person. My family and friends have noticed a change in my attitude and appearance. I feel refreshed and confident again!

This is Teresa, I was in for a Microdermabrasion treatment and before leaving decided upon some Botox between my brows...
The Botox has gone to work and I like it - I want to find out about the Restylane for my lips next.
I am viewing this as somewhat of a necessity for myself though, it's with some regret that I realize I've always taken care of everyone else first and myself last (if I had the time, which often I didn't).
Before my treatment with you, I'd had a pretty lousy day. In fact, it occurred to me to just cancel, but I didn't.
I was skeptical about the whole "experience", as I'd just visited another facility and had a spa facial as a birthday gift and was left very unimpressed and a bit annoyed ... and then there was the uncomfortable product upsell at the end, which I declined.
You, by contrast, left me feeling rejuvenated and hopeful. Your spa is elegant but very unpretentious and the entire "spa" experience was by far my best ever. You were gracious and informative but best of all left me feeling excited about some practical changes which would produce real (visible) results.
I didn't mean for this to be so long, I mainly wanted to say "thank you" and let you know I'd like to move forward on the lips and find out more about the eyes...

This place is the best!!! Take it from me: I have been to many doctors, estheticians, and so-called specialists about my skin problems and beauty/health/well-being concerns, and they were all either clueless, outdated, trying to push products that were clearly wrong for me (getting kickbacks from the pharmaceutical company, perhaps?) or just plain mean. Bella Tu is quite simply the best. I have used them for botox, lip fillers and chemical peels. I have found their services to be better than the cosmetic surgeon that I have used previously.
First of all, there is nothing like working with women that understand what you want, validate your concerns and have the evidence to help you through any work that you opt to have done. Jean is completely forthright in letting you know exactly what you will experience but she is HIGHLY talented in doing procedures in the least invasive way possible. Not only that- she will begin conservatively and work up from there so no Jennifer Garner lips!
I've been very pleased with all my results and trust the staff at Bella Tu entirely. But better yet, they are truly the most friendly, honest, customer-service oriented staff that you could ever dream of. Doreen and Jean both feel like dear friends. I love this place and the results are great.

I've been meaning to write to tell you how happy I am with the results of the IPL!!! Wow, I have to say, I didn't expect this. I mean, I figured it would be worthwhile, but I have to say that I'm even happier than I thought I would be.
It's so hard to tell what the results will be, with ground coffee all over the face, but it really does pepper off, as you put it, and what lies beneath is sooo nice! I don't know if it was the IPL alone, or that together with the Obagi treatment that has made my skin so nice, but it really did even out the tone and my face looks clean!
I know I sound like an ad with a testimony, but I just had to tell you! I started the retinol last Mon., so far no irritation or allergies. The Obagi products did tingle at first, and I had a little redness. It's much better now, though. I can still see some of the dark pigment on my cheeks, but it's much better than before -- very subtle.
Wow, sorry to ramble. I just wanted to thank you for pushing me to do the IPL. I really, really do not regret it at all! The stinging went away that same night, by the way. I never swelled up or anything, it was a great experience! I love my skin so much right now!

I have known Jean for many years. She is passionate about her work and one of the most compassionate people I know. She exemplifies what good health care should be. I have seen Jean for a variety of issues as I've moved into my fifties and have developed a great deal of trust in her. While having the spider veins on my legs treated with sclerotherapy one day, I was lamenting over the bulging veins on my hands, which I was far more self-conscious about than the veins on my legs. So we decided to try the sclerotherapy on my hands. It was like a miracle! I had very little bruising or swelling and saw immediate results with just one treatment. For compression, I found fingerless gloves at Ben Franklin that are used by crafters and knitters that are called Thergonomic Hand-Aids. I wore them for the first week and the rest just took time. Over the next seven to nine months the final traces dissolved, and I am no longer self-conscious about my hands. There was never enough bruising that anyone noticed. I am super pleased with the results -- Thank you, Jean!
